I want to change my mobo for a better quality mobo (NOT HP) or Napa crap!
I dont need it to be great… just the basics. I need it to work with above hardware.

tell us exactly what is causing you get dissapointed with your system mobo? I was checking at the the HP website the specs for this mobo and it seems to be a nice. Have you heard any issues about its performance? Does it overheat or something like that? It is not acting properly with the OS installed on your system?
Thre are many ways to customize a mobo, even tough if is a "piece of crap" .
First, take a look at the mobo specs provided by HP. Here is the link:

Then after, think what piece of hardware in your motherboard can be giving you headaches, like for instance, a bad done soldering, a piece of cable that not properly adjusted, etc.
If you feel confortable with that, go to any electronic shop and get a tester and start testing the power supply connections first. Then after, check by trial and error the different pieces ogf h/w until you become a master in troubleshooting mobo. I guarantee you will have fun, and at the same time you will learn. Good luck.

If you simply "restarted" your computer by turning it on and off again then your data should not be lost. You could try a free program called Glary Utilities which has a deleted file recovery option.
This is one of the many reasons you should keep all important data backed up to another drive.

Look into search and look for it by the name you saved it under. This is your best bet and also looking in the programs folder first. I won camtasia 5.0 so I have a idea where they should be.

I have picasa picture editing software, and some pictures on there came up from previous partitions or some other place on the hard drive. How can I clear everything without rebooting from scratch or is that the only option? I've tried other times rebooting Windows from scratch, but that doesn't erase everything. It's weird.
You probably mean reinstalling?
If its just the pics, delete them in picasa, but if you want to be completely sure you'll have to format all hard disks and reinstall windows.
In my documents, a folder called "My Art" keeps appearing.. No matter how many times I try to delete it, it just keeps on coming back!!
I never make this folder, nor does it have anything in it.
If the folder is empty, or only contains a sample or two,
it is not taking up any significant memory, and won't slow your computer.
If it contains any samples, you can delete these, and after your next
startup the folder may be there but it should be empty.
Don't loose sleep over this. It is a windows thing that is not worth

I have 2 computers one new one and one with xp i can put the music on a usb and transfer to the old computer and make a cd but can not make a cd on the new computer has anyone had this problem or heard about a way to be able to make a cd with the new windows 7 without it erroring out?
Lack of information makes this hard to understand what is going on, but if possible you may want to attempt to start your computer in Safe Mode with networking and then run an anti-virus/malware scanner. Safe Mode will start Windows with only the bare necessities running, so chances are your computer infection will be dormant during this time and not interfere with the virus scanner's attempts to detect it.
If you have one on your computer and it is malfunctioning, you can always use an online scanner such as Trend Micro's Housecall (link in sources) to find and quarantine the computer infection.
To go into Safe Mode, you must restart your computer and press the F8 key before the windows logo appears. It will bring up a list of options such as:
-Safe Mode
-Safe Mode with command prompt
-Safe Mode with networking
You will want to select Safe mode with networking so you can access the internet while in safe mode. Once you are on your desktop, open your internet browser and proceed to the website I have provided for you.

If this doesn't work then go to a different computer, download Combofix (google it) and put it on a flash drive and transfer it to the infected computer. YES, it's feasible to have 2 Google Analytics (GA) Tracking Codes (GATC) within the same site/page, but I strongly discourage you to do it for the sole purpose of tracking 2 folders. Google provides you with a better (flexible) way to do it.
Instead, put only one GATC, and within GA, create 2 site profiles with the same exact info (i.e., same web site URL, except the names that could be "Site Folder1" and "Site Folder2"). Hence, the GATC will be exactly the same, so no need to copy 2 different GATC's in the site/page.
Then create one filter in each profile (one at a time) using the "Filter Manager", which can be found in 2 ways:
1) at the bottom right of the GA dashboard, aside to "Add Website profile" and "User Manager".
2) by displaying the settings of the site (click "Edit" in the "Action" column in the GA dashboard), and click on "Add Filter" within the 3rd section "Filters Applied to Profile".
When you're there, select the predefined "subdirectory" feature, then select "Include only / traffic from the subdirectories / that begin with", and finally enter the folder info "^/folder".
Repeat for folder2 (Add a new site profile from the dashboard. This time select "Add a Profile for an existing domain", pick the same URL as the 1st profile. Validate and go create the 2nd filter as aforementioned).

What can I do to reduce/eliminate video lag?
I am running a 2.8GHz processor, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD4650 video card (AGP 8x with 1GB DDR2 video RAM) and Vista Enterprise.
I have searched the web for a few hours looking for a possible solution. Any suggestions are welcome. I refuse to resort to "video accelerator" programs, most are worthless in the long run.

I'm upgraging my hard drive to an SATA from IDE. My motherboard already has two onboard SATA ports, I just have never used them. Whenever I insert the disk for sims2, it looks as if it's going to open properly. Then I get an error message reading "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate." Any ideas on why?
The amount of stuff on the hard drive (user accounts are stored on the hard drive) has absolutely no9thing to do with the speed of the computer, until you run out of free space on the hard drive. (Three user accounts take up almost no space.)
if their all lodged in at once it would have the same effect as one account running the same Number of programs as the total number running and may then make a small difference, but in general if used one at at time as you would most likely be doing it would have no impact. in fact there are already several accounts used internally by your computer anyway (just not ones people can log in as)
If they use a lot of space and are logged on, then it'll be slow, else it wouldn't matter much.
But every account DOES slow it down due to more memory being taken up….

I'm running Windows 7 and a few days ago it was running fine and fast but after I downloaded Kaspersky(from the actual site) it suddenly seems slower. It's noticeable in boot-up as it takes a few minutes rather than a few seconds and it takes a while to open up applications as it has long loading times. Is there anyway I can improve this?
Also common with most scanners is the real-time scanning part of the program, which will usually scan files being accessed and used in real-time to detect and threats and block them before it happens. This could be one of the reasons why your computer seems more sluggish.
You may want to look into Kaspersky's settings and see if there are any options regarding this matter.
I would suggest changing your anti-virus security app to Microsoft Security Essentials which is just as good, simpler to use and doesn't hog as much memory.

I am making a video and I need parts of the video to have no audio, and parts to have full audio. Problem is, I thought if I just decreased the audio wave to a -48 you wouldn't be able to hear it. But you still can. How do I completely eliminate the audio in designated patches of a video?
How many audio tracks do you have in there? You might just have a track that's playing on its own without you noticing it and that needs to be silenced as well.
Worst comes worse, if you have Soundbooth, fiddle with the sound in there.

If you are talking about Photoshop version, then there is a vast difference, firstly Elements being designed for basic photo editing, while Premiere is a video editor.
If you are talking about the Premiere version, then there is quite a bit of difference. Premiere Elements is a basic video editor for those looking at making some home movies, for those who want to take a step up from Windows Movie Maker. Premiere Pro is a very professional movie editor designed for serious video making, usually used in conjunction with After Effects and numerous sound mixing programs.
If you want to make some basic movies, Elements 8 is quite good. If you are after a superior video editor, Premiere Pro is one of the best around.
Now I've heard that you need good RAM in order for your pc to run smoothly. I have 4GB OEM RAM. And when i say my pc is running slowly when in use i mean like accessing folders and transferring stuff and installing things it lags and sometimes freezes. If anyone could sugget why my pc is so slow with 4GB RAM that would be nice.

2. You might have an error on your hard drive.
3. You may just have too many programs running in the background.
4. Your CPU might be running hot.
5. Your hard drive may be too full.
Download and install Ccleaner to get rid of files that are no longer doing anything but cluttering your hard drive.
You can run the disk check program to fix hard drive errors.
You can download and install MalwareBytes antispyware or Superantispyware and run full scans on your C:\ drive.
By the way, do you have an antivirus program that is installed and continuously updated?
You have not given us much to go on with your question. I suggest you do some research on your PC and submit another question.
Any computer should have at least 2GB RAM depending on if you have Vista, 7, XP etc. If all you do on your computer is word, internet and simple stuff like that then 2GB is fine. And a 2.00GHz processor would do.
If you do more serious programming like Photoshop, games etc. Then you should have around 6GB RAM on a 64 bit operating system (of course). There are heaps of processors you can choose from. From AMD, Intel, dual core, quad core there’s heaps. Right now, I would go for Intel dual core (not quad because most programs and games can only use 2 cores anyway) the i7 processors are good I think but I’m not sure because I haven’t used them. As long as you have about 2.6GHz speed, you’ll be fine. I have 2.00GHz and it’s ok until I do video converting (so I do wish I had a faster processor).
Let’s recap. Around 6GB RAM, 2.6GHz processor (probably Intel dual core), so that’s what we have so far. They are the most important things in a computer. But a graphics card is also important. A lot of computers will have a shared graphics card. These aren’t very good. If you buy a computer online, you can usually customize it a bit. (Again, if you’re doing simple stuff, word etc then go for a 512mb independent graphics card) Try and get 1GB independent graphics and even more if you’re doing hard-core 3d gamming.
Now, there are a few graphics cards out there that you can choose from. The 2 most sold are Nvidia and Ati. I (and most other people) prefer Nvidia. Especially the Nvidia GeForce.
So, so far we got the RAM, processor and graphics card. They are the most important things. Once you have those, you will be fine.
You can then however go onto things like Operating system, Hard Drive, CD/DVD Drive, display and Networking.
Having said all that, if you recently bought a computer and it is slow, there could be hundreds of reasons; virus, not enough RAM or maybe it’s just a lemon.
If you think that you have a virus, do the following.
Download Malwarebytes anti-malware from download.com
Perform a full scan. (Note: A quick scan can take from 2 minutes to 20 minutes) A full scan will usually take at least an hour on most computers. And most of the viruses found are found towards the end of the scan. Once it’s complete, click on show results and then fix or delete or whatever it says. It will (or at least should) get rid of the viruses found. Then you have to restart your computer.
To be sure you got rid of all the viruses you can download Avast! Cleaner or buy Avast! Pro. Avast! Is good because it scans the memory for active viruses which may prevent you from finding them. Scan, and fix the problems found.
Viruses can get into your computer in many ways. From going on dodgy websites, via USB, too many programs running.
So try to eliminate the amount of icons you have running in the background. Look at your taskbar in the bottom right corner. If there are a lot of programs down there then try to get rid of some of them. For example if you have Bluetooth running, sync, touchpad and other totally pointless programs, right click and get rid of them because they will slow down your computer. Maybe you have downloaded limewire and it starts when you turn your computer on. Turn it off. Limewire uses a lot of RAM (and can easily give you viruses). To stop programs from starting automatically, press windows key – R and type in msconfig go to the startup tab, you will get a list of programs which start up with your computer. Any programs you know you don’t need un-tick. If you’re unsure, google it. You can also go to the Services tab (Make sure you tick Hide all Microsoft services down the bottom) and then google in any you are unsure of.
If you don’t think you have a virus, maybe you have a registry problem. Download Advanced System Care. There is the free version (which is good but obviously not as good as the paid version). Download it from download.com
Install, Scan and fix. Any of the problems found can be repaired without damaging anything on your computer. This is a very good program which will almost guarantee you a faster computer.
An even better program is TuneUp Utilities. However the free version is only for 30-days. So either clean your computer with it and then forget about it or download the hacked version. (You can go to youtube and there are many ways of doing it).
This program is especially good because it defragments your registry. Do all the scans and turn on Turbo Mode and it will definitely speed up your computer at least a bit.
If you have vista, you can go to My Computer, then at the top you will see a tab called System Properties. Click it, then on the left there is a tab called Advanced System Settings. Click it, from there go to settings under performance, and click adjust for best performance. You won’t have all the fancy 5 looking icons etc but it will

The LG has a more connection types than the ASUS.
The LG has a slightly better viewing angle.
21.5" to 20" isn't a big difference at all.
ASUS has a bigger "Recommended Resolution" @ 1920×1080, though that will still work on the LG.
ASUS seems to be a split second faster from it's "Response Time".
LG has a longer warranty plan.
I say, if you're doing basic computer stuff then go with LG. LG is a fairly recognized brand and they make darn good televisions and monitors. ASUS sounds like a third-party brand judging by its popularity.

One wireless connection simply doesn't have the capacity to support multiple clients.
